The Parameter is Incorrect

Hello,

I was recently trying to clean up my computer. I did a defrag and then a scandisk, but the scandisk needed to restart to complete the operation on my USB hard drive. However, the computer restarted and did not scan my USB drive, and now I am getting either the error of "the parameter is incorrect" or "the drive is not format do you wish to format now." I would appreciate any help on resolving this issue.

Lacie External 160gb
IBM Thinkpad R40

you are screwed. I had to replace my (actually a friend of mine) hard drive when that happen to me. I will reformat it and a few day later it would ask me the same question. it kept repeating that cycle
