Default Paging File question

Hey I was just wondering can I increase my page file from 1536 minimum and 3072 maximum to a higher but stable amount? I need it for Half-Life 2. I was thinking somewhere about 2000 or higher for the minimum and so forth. Please help me find a stable setting, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

You can increase your pagefile to as high as your have open on your harddrive.

All the pagefile is, is an area on your hard drive that the Operating System manages like open memory. It's much slower than your RAM though, so you won't notice much improvement by increasing it past double your RAM amount.
