I have an i media 2422 which had Vista pre installed on it, i did not like it so formatted and put XP on, the only problem i get is that when the pc has been shutdown for a while it will freeze/lock up when first started, after restart its ok. Also how do i get rid of the partion that has/had Vista on it.

Use partition tools like PArtition Magic. that still works in XP.
