is there away i can find out the password as i forgot whether it is free software or whatever...plz help me.

What version of outlook?

If you are using ANSI PST file then you can go for this free utility pst19upg.exe or using UNICODE PST file then it does not work. You need to take help of third party tool like Stellar Phoenix Outlook Password Recovery.
