Question Outlook.pst

The error message is stating that the Outlook.pst file is in use by another program, even at initial system startup. I create another outlook.pst file and delete the old one and then outlook works correctly, but after a reboot I get the same error for the new .pst file. I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling Outlook. Has this happened to anyone before? and what did you find as a solution?

Do you have your anti virus set to scan your files on boot? Perhaps it is scanning the file. Check your startup tab in msconfig and see what's going on. Uncheck everything except your AV and then boot.

Change the world. Of one person. Today.

If your equation requires either a complex combination of variables to get the desired result OR you can't seem to get the result regardless of the variables....it ain't your variables, it's your constant.

You can use process explorer to see if any processes have hooks in the Outlook.pst file. Then kill those threads and go from there. If you aren't familiar with Process Explorer there is a tutorial over at The Tech Empire. Along with a download link.
