Hey guys, I've got a problem at work with my bosses PC. If he opens Outlook, it's fine, no probs. If he closes it, then tries to open it again, no go. Nothing. You can keep double clicking that icon til your index finger falls off, but it won't play.

Then, you open Task manager, and go "NOOOOOOOOOOOO!" because, however many times you double clicked outlook, there's that many instances of OUTLOOK.EXE running as a process! If you end all those, then it'll work again! You have to "open" it at least twice when it's not working to get it to show in task manager, then end them both, and it'll magically open!

Any ideas? I'm lost. My only thought is that it's clashing with another peice of software, but I've no idea how to check!

Cheers...

Well, it hasn't done it again so far! (After installing Office 2000 SP2)

Good shout htcs!

Thanks, yet another problem solved by the tech-forums crew...

Maybe one day I'll help someone else...

Right, now Outlook's started randomly crashing! It just stops and you get the old "this progrem has encountered a problem and needs to close" box. Then you start it up again, and it's fine for ten-fifteen mins, then the same happens again!

I've not been able to work out why this happens... Anyone seen it before?
