Outlook express very slow opening and intellitext

Help, I'm a complete novice my outlook express 6 is painfully slow opening from the desk top. It is also slow opening up previously opened emails. ALSO, I seem to have some spyware which is enabling intellitext pop ups on web pages. I'm running windows 98 se

I have subsequently found out i have the win32/polipos virus and the dropper generic trojan

any help pleeeeeease!!
