outlook express experts here please!!

i have latest update on outlook express,

Im wondering, i just formated and now whenever i open up outlook express, it automatically opens the msn icon in the system tray
i was wondering how to get rid of that

anyone know?
i had it before like that before i formated

is there any way i can deleted msn without just going into the program files and deleting the messanger folder?

like a uninstall icon?
msn messanger dont got one =(

First, try closing out of MSN messenger and close the MSN messenger icon in the system tray.
Click Start > Run and type:
RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\inf\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove
This worked for me.

if you want to get rid of msn msngr completely, go to control panel --> add/remove programs... there should be a listing in there to uninstall.

I'm pretty sure that he was saying that MSN Messenger doesn't have an uninstall icon.

That works, until you open outlook... then it loads again...it's a real pain...and a resource hog.

well, at least in win2k, there's no icon, but add/remove programs DOES allow an uninstall. what OS?

It is possible...

I have disabled Messenger, but I can't remember how it was done. I can start OE without it starting up. So, it is possible.

Now to remember how it was done (I'm sure someone here told me how).

i do think we can uninstall msn mesenger if its windows XP
>> open sysoc.inf which is located in "inf" folder
>> open in a notepad and deleted all instance of word "hide"
>> save the file
