outlook 2003 attachments

Hello everyone;
I am stumped on this problem... In outllook 2003 when I sent or receive emails with attachments, it becomes two. The person I sent one two gets two and I receive two. Just to point out I am not getting copies of the email, but I am getting copies of the attachments only. I am at my witts end.....HELP

Unfortunately, I currently don't have outlook installed. Looks like I need to install it

Somewhere in the Options, it says "split the attachment if larger than 500KB". I don't know exactly where it is. I hope we can get some input on this with somebody who has outlook installed.
