Has anyone seen Outlook drop the first letter in the subject line in an e-mail when sent and if so, know how to fix it? I am baffled. I have tried to replace email.dot with known good but still no go.

Strange....have you tried reinstalling it?

Not yet. It is for a business system and we wanted to make sure his backups were done before we do a repair or reinstall. I was hoping to find a quick fix instead of doing all that but I have not found any info on the net to say that anyone has ever seen this before.

I never seen the problem either, could just be a bug, bad installation, the computer memory, hard drive. You install it over the network? Does it happen to everyone on the same network or just this particular computer?

No, it is a lone system. I think I will just have to try the repair but will have to make sure he is backed up to be safe. If that does not work then we will try the reinstall as you say. Thanks.
