Default OS List On MultiBoot System

Hey, this really bugs the crap out of me.
ok so ive done a lil experimenting with multibooting and stuff like that and installed diffrent os's on the same system just diffrent hard drive.
the problem is i reformated the other os on the new hardrive but its still up on that list to select on start up. so i now only use windows xp home an yet i have to go down the unwanted list of 6 diffrent os's. some please, oh god please! let me know how to berid of the os list which is unwanted!!

P.S i tried fixmbr in the windows recovery

start, run type msconfig, go to boot.ini and click on check all boot paths, click ok to remove the invalid entry and then reboot

hey but it wont let me manually remove one that i dont want in the multi boot list.....i only have xphome running but : partion 3 contains my good os boot and 2 bad ones, its not saying its invalid, how do i get rid of the other 2 ?
