Default OS issue

I have a question, hopefully you can help me out. I have an older computer that I installed Windows 98 on. Well I had to replace the hard drive because of bad sectors. When I turned on my computer it did not complete the boot process, this is after replacing the drive and installing Windows 98 What do I need to do?
