Hello sir,

I'll describe the problem which i am facing with the OS.

I have two hard discs in my computer, say A and B.

Earlier i had win 2000 in disk B & win 98 in Disk A.
And it was a dual boot system.

I formated C: drive of Disk A to have win me instead of
win 98. But now i am not getting the choice to start win 2000.
The boot information has been eraced.

How can i get to boot it again.
I think the bootup information was in disk A for OS which is in
Disk B.
How can i transfer it to the Disk B. Because i am going to use only
disk B now, and i dont want to reinstall it again.

Please help,
Waiting for reply,
Thanks,
Krishna

Dear krishna,
even if ur using two hard disks, and two os, all the system files for both os will be located in the primary dos partition of the master harddisk. and that one u have formatted and reloaded os.
even the boot.ini will be located in the same drive, which gives the information of the os installed and which one to boot.

so as per my knowledge u have to reload every thing from scrap.

akhil
