How can you go to jail when it says they don't collect personal info from you, LOL!... listen, first if you are going to go down this road make sure you are using a program like zone alarm to stop call back systems. You can upgrade to sp2 bootlegged but the question here is it worth your time and trouble. If your going to do this the way I imagine make sure you use real-time virus and spyware software running. I understand why you would choose this but it may cause you more problems than it's woth. Not jail time unless your business with a p@ssed off employee. If you going to be with a hooker use protection!

you are lucky. I think that I read somewhere that Ms was going to stop providing updates from non validated xp disc overseas. now you can get updates

pfft, damn microsoft, make a decent os and make it cheaper then we will stop pirating it. Just bootleg it.

i'm with wayne. using the upgrade versions avoids these issues. i don't think they require validation or activation.
