Default Oops

Well, my computer broke down and i reinstalled windows on it.

Problem is that i installed it on the wrong disk. The C: disk got switched with my D: disk and now my system disk has only 4GB of space. that is not enough.

So can you please help me with this?

Also, what will happen if i move my WINDOWS file to my bigger disk, and create a shortcut named WINDOWS in place of that. Will it solve my problem

You're gonna have to go through the pain of reinstalling it on the other harddrive. Whatever drive you install it on needs to be the master drive, though, or it won't boot.

you can just change the jumper settings or which hdd is plugged in where on the motherboard making it the master.

You could just clone it over using programs such as Nortons Ghost. It wont matter which jumper settings any drive is on really as only the one with windows installed will boot (as it is now) though the hard disk with windows on it ideally should be set to master.

Copying the windows folder over wont solve your problem.
