Default Old Hard drive

I got a new computer recently and I hooked up my old HD to get my files off of it. Well, I used XP and set it so no one else could access my files. And now I cant open my do***ents. It says E:/Do***ents and Settings/Obsidian Access is Denied. So I was wondering if there was a system or OS file that I could change or edit to be able to open my do***ents. Or a program that I could download. Thanks in advance

Can you access any files/folders on the drive?

There's 2 things you can try Either Knoppix or SuperWinPE.
They are both bootable. knoppix is a Linux based bootable disk the super win PE is like windows if you have to cdroms or 1 CD and 1 dvdyou can boot off of the disk and use the burning program that is in SuperwinPE to burn backups to disks. I'm not real sure if the SuperwinPE is a legal program or now but it works great.
