ooyyee that is pretty bad..only cause S.M.A.R.T has detected this and it is SMART no pun. How old is the drive? Still under warranty? I would obviously backup anything of importance off that drive.

SMART is the builtin self diagnostics of a HDD, if you HDD is failing one or more of the SMART tests it is on its way out and you should do as suggested and replace the HDD ASAP and backup your important data immediately.
However its perfectly possible for a HDD to continue to function normally for any amount of time, it could fail the next time you use it of in a couple of years or it could seem to work normally but you could get mysterious corruption & crashes.
Basically just replace the drive, RMA it if its worth anything.

In certain extreme situations, the law is inadequate. In order to shame its inadequacy, it is necessary to act outside the law. To pursue... natural justice. This is not vengeance. Revenge is not a valid motive, it\'s an emotional response. No. Not vengeance. Punishment.

You can by a Harddrive for it, no need to throw it in the bin and buy a new one!?

yes you can buy a new hard drive for it, don't buy a new laptop unless you really need to, but for this issue just buy a new hard drive.
