the question is simple:How can i manipulate the Menu bar in office 2003.

The answer eludes me.

i dont want to use vb script or anything just to edit the menu bar(the bar which holds the main menues like:File,Edit,Favorites,Tools,Help)

The reason i need to know is cause one of my friends have lost his Tools button in the excel!

so where do i return or add or remove this commands?

we only found this can be undo by deleting a file called *.xlb and then all changes to the excel are reset he gets his tools button back but also lose all the changes he applied before in the toolsbars customization.

please help.thank you.

Try re-registering the excel application.

With a default install, run these two commands (run at a command prompt)

"c:\program files\microsoft office\office\excel.exe" /unregserver
"c:\program files\microsoft office\office\excel.exe" /regserver

I have found the answer but its not about starting up at new but where to finally control the menu bar:you go to the menu bar and right click it.
select customize and then from the commands tab enter the built in menues selection..here you can find all the menu buttons which you can drag and drop back to the menu bar.

THUMBS UP FOR SELF~! :sigh:

Hope people can use this info have a nice day
