Is there any way to remove NTFS permisions on a non bootable drive and permissions where set on a diferent unit?

I'm a little curious. If the drive doesn't boot then why would you want to access and/or change permission levels?

Working as PC tech, we get units where the hard drive is either failing or OS is severly corupt. If the customer requires data to be backed up, the only solution is hook it up externaly or as slave internaly to one of the working units. Now if the customers account is password protected we cannot access the data. Go & try to explain that to a customer!

move the files to c:\ of that drive and then access on another comp., but then again non what you mean by non bootable..?If it not bootable then you have a problem.... It mean you will have to send it to the Prof. In HDD REcovery and it's expensive.
