Hi,
I've got an NT system that is really slow when booting up and also when running any software. Just started to do this.
I think that the issue is that it's on a small network (peer to peer) and one of the resources (a printer) it is looking for is no longer there, and that is slowing things up.
How does one turn off a network connection and then restart it when you want it connected again? On the XP systems, I have it set to start a connection when I need it, or keep it shut down when I don't need it. Again, it's a peer to peer network of 5 computers, no internet access, every simple.
thanks
T
