Default Novell Login Prompt on windows 2000

I'm building a windows 2000 image for a public computer lab and we force users to authenticate across our Novell Netware server before they are able to use the system (this is to prevent anonymous abuse).

we have a "student" windows account that will have measures installed to protect the system from tampering, novell is setup to login as the "student" account however it still prompts for a windows user and password before logging in, the second login prompt confuses user "My password isn't working!", "My account is locked out!", if posssible I would like to remove the 2nd prompt and have a silent windows login as the "student" user

I have found some tutorials to this effect but so far I have only managed auto login with no novell authentication

any help would be greatly appreciated
