Default Nothing is opening

Randomly, nothing opens on my computer. Except for certain things. For example, I have a folder on my desktop with links that I go on a lot, and if I open them on there my Mozilla will open. However, if I try to open mozilla from the start menu, it doesn't respond. Same goes for everything on my computer. No icons load on the taskbar either. I restarted several times and I am still having problems. What is going on?

Send a message via Yahoo to talldude123

You have a problem with your shortcuts. Point them to your browser, Mozilla.

BTW, make sure that Mozilla is set as your default browser.

It is set as my default browser. How can everything on my computer be messed up? What your saying is for me to fix every single programs shortcut. I doubt that's the cause.

Hmm not sure whats wrong to be honest but sounds like explorer is knackered. Do you run decent antivirus etc.? you might want to try a system restore.

If you can't get to system restore use winkey+R to open the run box and type %systemroot%\system32\restore\rstrui.exe
Or use Ctrl+Shift+Esc to open the taskmanager and open a run box from the file menu and type the same thing.
