I have a Notepad link in my quicklanch bar on my taskbar, and a few weeks ago I realized that the icon went from the Notepad icon to the default .exe icon (kinda a picture of a white window). Also, that link was dead for some reason. The link to Notepad in Start Menu>Programs>Accessories>Notepad was also dead, and icon-less.
The only way to open Notepad was to navigate to the system32 folder.
So, I right clicked on a .txt document and did a Open With, and found the Notpad.exe not realizing it wasnt Notepad.exe. (note the E, note and not)
I finally got everything to work, but I just caught the difference. In my system32 folder, notepad.exe is 3k and Notpad.exe is 65k, but has a icon. Is this perhaps a virus? A bug? A glitch? Something I did, or something Windows did? Whats going on....
Any and All information and comments are greatly apreciated. Thanks In Advance.
