Notebook cursor goes crazy

When I try to move the cursor of my Acer notebook to the left of the screen it'll spring back to the right sometimes, and vice versa. It really gets on my nerve. Can someone pls help me fix it. Thx!

It happens to me when I use two fingers LOL. Update the synaptic driver mon!

Can't use the download cos I just found out that the Synaptics driver in my Acer is actually a newer version as I've bought the notebook just a month ago.
FYI, several days ago I reinstalled the driver and it helped but only temporarily cos the problem resurfaced again yesterday. Think I'll just call Acer Tech Support and see what they ve to say.

Use a cheapo USB notebook mouse. They're usually cheap.

Actually already ve got a Targa wireless optical mouse (free from CHIP mag subscription 1-2 years ago) but didn't get round to setting it up. Partly also finding it a hassle to ve to carry extra thing around even it's only within the house. If I really can't sort out the problem then I'll definitely take it out and use.
