not coming out of sleep mode

I have vista RC1 and tried to put into sleep mode. Now it won't come on even from reboot. I have removable hard drives and when I put my xp back in the drawer it would not come on either. Vista has been running up to this point very well. By the way I'm running 64 bit edition.
