Not a big problem just annoying

Hi Guys

I have a problem for the last Six months but for some reason its annoying me more tonight!!! When i want to download something when i hit the run button nothing happens. I have to hit save as and usually save to my desktop. Sometimes I find that when you use save as it doesn't work. Tonight I wanted to update my adobe flash player. My operating system is Windows 7.

your browser settings or your antivirus could be preventing you from running any software from the net, or opening a download. Sometimes if you right click on the .exe installer, you will see an option to unblock the downloaded program

You do realize that even if you click run, the file still has to download and be loaded into RAM to run. It isn't an instant thing.

Thanks for the reply. I could wait an hour and the file still wouldn't download. It use to work but stopped about six months ago.
