not able to open a pdf file from the Web

Hi:

I get this error message:

Cannot use Adobe Reader to view PDF in your Web browser. Reader will now exit. Please press the refresh butoon in your browser to start Acrobat.

I habe Adobe Reader 7.0.
I have been able to view pdf files from the internet before just fine

open a local copy from your pc, let it load, close it then go in IE and try to view it

Edit / Preferences :

Internet option on the left hand side ...

Make sure you have the check mark on the: Display PDF in browser.

i tried with several other pdf files and it did the same thing..

IT System A D M I N: When you say "Open a local copy from my Pc" What do you mean by that ???

local means your pc like in your my documents folder. Open one, close it and then try to open one it IE

Did it work? This happened to someone here at work and when they opened it up localy, they could open it in IE

check the option again. You may need to run adobe as an admin to ensure the option holds properly. What version of adobe are you using? Do you have more than 1 version on the machine? Check your program files to see if you have other versions.
