Default norton protected recyling bins

whats this thing for?
when i goto empty norton recycling bin it says purge yours and purge all, i dont get it =/

the norton recycling bin is like the windows recycle bin. the windows recycle bin is like a backup so nortons is like a backup of a backup. too much redundacy for me. i just disable the norton recycle bin and use the regular windows bin.

i think purge yours means the windows recycle bin. purge all is to delete from windows recyle bin and norton's recycling bin.

Correct. With Norton Sytem Works installed, sending something to the recycling bin will not delete it. Purging the files in the bin will permanetly delete the files. It's supposed to be helpful in case you accidently delete something you wanted to keep, but System Works causes more problems than it does good, IMO.
