No Hyper Terminal in XP

Hi I have a Latitude D630 with Windows SP3 installed.

I cant freakin get hyperterminal in here. Ive gone to the add windows components place but I dont have the communications section available at all. I have tried running a repair to reinstall all system files and nothing happens. Hyper Terminal is not in my start menu and didnt pop in on the components page.

My Dell Restore CD has the Hyper TErminal files so I know its not missing.

Whats my solution to this dilemma ?

I also dont mind taking recommendations for terminal emulators that are not Hyper Terminal personal edition and PUTTY.

Steps to install hyperTerminal:
======================
1. Click on ” START “
——–
2. Click on ” RUN “
——
3. Copy the Following Line :
RUNDLL32 ADVPACK.DLL,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\communic.inf,Hypertrm


or

or

Putty

PuTTY: a free telnet/ssh client

I use Putty at work, workes great
