Default No HDD space?????

Hello,

Trying to fix my friends computer laptop. He had about 70 GB of HDD space yesterday, but then today, he has ZERO! I'm running Ad-aware, SPYBOT, and some AV programs. Any other suggestions?

Thanks.

Are the partitions still there? Did he download something? What happened between yesterday and today?

He only has one partition that is about 70 GB, it's still there, but there is "ZERO" free space on the drive. Ran Ad-aware, Spybot, and AVG in safe mode...nothing. He wasnt even on the internet he said the day before this happened.

What are diagnostics can I run?

Thanks!

Have you done Osiris' Spyware removal guide?
If not, download it here

That'll rule out Spyware... =]

Sorry, cant give a screenshot, his computer is away from me. Imagine going into "My Computer" and seeing 1 HD w/ 1 partition and it has 70+GB of "Total Size" and 0 KB of free space.

^^^ Link to the topic the download is in.

You could also try installing JDiskReport on his system (if it will allow you), and run that. That will tell you where the most data is being used up in (directory-wise).
