In the department I work in we image many, many PC's. We have created a cd boot disk that auto detects NIC's, so we can log into our image server and pull them over the network. Problem is, all the new PC's we are now getting have PCI Express NICS, and aren't auto detected, rendering imaging over the network useless on these PC's. I believe we 'borrowed' the auto detect script we currently use from bart's boot disk.com, but I have been unable to find a NIC auto detect script that can scan PCI express nics, and I am simply too dumb to write it myself. Anyone else run into this?

You need dos drivers for the PCIe cards. Contact the vendors for these. I would love to look into this, but don't have a nic to use as I don't have PCIe right yet. post the most common vendor if you want, and I can look around.
