yes but if I reinstall windows then I have to reinstall the games. They embed info in windows when you install them.

Correct. They put info into the Registry and other places. So everything has to be re-installed.

So would any other program (ie. Firefox) yet i'm still able to run it.

Incorrect Snake. I have reinstalled windows before on this computer. Trust me, you have to reinstall your games. Opera still ran fine. So did other things. Games have to be reinstalled

aloha bob will help you tranfer programs like games. But I rather do a fresh install
