If your OS (Operating System) is Microsoft Windows XP Proffesional, Never ever Install Windows Blinds, Theme XP anything that Changes the Windows Regestery Shells!
WHY?
Microsoft Windows XP Proffesional as a Special Configuration File kept Hidden in the Windows Directory C:/Windows/wmprffin.prx
This file is known as the Windows kernal! Most Computer Experts will know this! When installing Windows Blinds or ThemeXP this file is deleted and then Replaced with wmprffin.prf a different extention that allows the Windows regestery SHELLS to by modified so you can have Different Fancey Styles & Different Boot Modes (The Pre-Loading Bar at begining of Windows Start Up) Boot-Mode. Microsoft Windows XP Proffesional was made for Administrating & More alless Networking, Schools, Offices and other, if you want Blinds & ThemeXP use Home Edition, the wmprffin.prx is not availible because home edition does not need wmprffin.prx because the regestery for Shells use a different file known as wmprffinuix.prx

WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF I DO INSTALL BLINDS/THEMEXP on PROFFESIONAL???

You want be-able to isntall Service Pack 2 Updates, because SP2 needs access to wmprffin.prx file!

Sometimes the Installer will corrupt then leading to a System Re-boot!

And most regestery such as the SEND TO Shell & the Boot Shell does not work,

DO NOT DO IT! IF YOU HAVE! Contact a specialist or you can do at your own Risk my way!

Remove Style XP or Windows Blinds,

When starting computer continiousley press F8 to access OS Start! S

Select Safe Mode

Go to the following Directory C:/WINDOWS/

Search for wmprffinuff.prf

Delete the File, and replace it with wmprffin.prx ask someone to make a copy of it! Get some software like WinGuide Regestery Macanic to repait the Corrupt Regestery, if you still CAN NOT ISNTALL SP2, reboot the System! ASAP!

Hope this information helps! & Prevent future damage of your SYSTEM!

my friend uses windows blinds 24/7 and he updated service pack 2 ASAP with no problems. so did i..

It depends its a 50/50 Chance! It could happen to you next time! it might not!

Never had a problem with it. If one os uses those files to update, then so do the rest so that means they should all be doing it, and I'm running xp pro and have had no problems whatsoever.

crock of sh*t mate... causes no more problems in pro as home.

But its windows blinds is shite anywho so not worth installing on anything.

I aint one for installing ANYTHING that so called "enhances" appearances. Why bother?
It looks like it looks like, so use it as is.
You wont have any problems other than the ones YOU create.

I don't even use SP2, so I don't worry about it.

if the 2 files have different names, couldn't you just copy the original Windows one, install Windowblinds or ThemeXP then copy the file back so you would have the 2 files there

Never have had a problem like your describeing , installed theme xp and all service packs with no problem.
