net connection icon

the situation is this

Ive just upgraded to the BT 1Mb connection but dont want my
computer illiterate girlfriend to find out im spending 40 quid a month on my net connection

is there any way of stopping the wee connection bubble popping up from the icon in my system tray as this is the only giveaway shed notice as it tells you the connection speed.(i would still like to keep the icon)

scrap that found out how to do it
heres how for anyone who cares (winxp)

Click on Start and then on Run.
In the open box type regedit and then click OK.
Click on the plus (+) next to HKEY_CURRENT_USER.
Click on the plus (+) next to Software.
Click on the plus (+) next to Microsoft.
Click on the plus (+) next to Windows.
Click on the plus (+) next to CurrentVersion.
Click on the plus (+) next to Explorer.
Click on the folder that says Advanced. This should give you a long list of items on the right window pane.
Click on Edit, select New, and choose DWORD Value.
Name the new DWORD Value EnableBalloonTips.
Double-click this new entry, set the value to 0.
Fill in the dot next to Hexadecimal.
Close the Registry Editor and reboot the computer normally.
You have now disabled the balloon tips in the system tray.
