Nero will not multisession

I have set Nero to do a multisession and when I come to write on the disk again, the disk is reading as finished. If I take the same disk to work and try to continue the multisession with Nero, it will recognise it and work properly. Has anyone else had a similar problem?

What is your CD-ROM burner brand?

I have an Imation CD Burner and a Pioneer DVD Burner, both of which return the same puzzling response.
