Default Nero & VCD size problems? help

hey guys/gals i'm new to the forums and had a hopefully quick question that needs answering. i currently am trying to burn a vcd. the file i am trying to burn is apprx 700mb. as soon as i drag and drop it into nero burning rom 6.0 it comes up as 950+ size which exceeds disk limit. any info on this would be insightful, thanks. I'm sure it has to do with the converting to a dif format or something, maybe something with encoding files or in order to make vcd, just looking for a better explanation or perhaps a way around it without losing video quality. otherwise i could just burn it to dvd.

I had the same problem trying to burn a standard large ISO with Nero 6.0.X. I ended up needing to use another program.
