nero 9 vs others

for those who have used this software how do you like it and how does it compare to ashampoo burning studio?

never used ashampoo burning studio but i will tell u that nero is the best burning softwar i ever used, even though my free trail ended and i can no longer use, everything seemed so easy for that month. if u have the budget i highly recommend getting nero 9

I would recommend CDBurnerXP & ImgBurn. Free and can do everything that Nero Burning Rom can do. CDBurnerXP itself can do it. ImgBurn is just another choice.

Nero is over-rated, resource intensive and bloated. Once you see how fast you really can burn a disk and how fast the software can work using one of the 2 mentioned above, you will wonder why you thought Nero was so good.

thanks for the advice Admin since my nero free trail did end i've been needing a burning software just didnt know any, but im using windows vista will CDburnerXP work well with my os. hint the tittle XP just want to make sure

Yes. It works just fine with Vista and Win7. The name says XP but it works for all version of Windows after XP as well.

I use Imgburn on vista x64 and it works great. Just want to mention that it doesn't have copy on the fly from disc to disc.

I just use ImgBurn + Daemon Tools lite + AnyDVD.

Also, Nero became bloated since version 7. And it came with a bunch of stuff I never wanted (e.g. nero scout), which I had to manually remove (but I wrote a batch script to automate it)

That is why i suggest CDBurnerXP. It does have that feature and it is small. The download is only 3.1MB. The install is not much larger. It is worth using both programs suggested combined to get all of the features of Nero and the ease of use.

I Had problems with the newer nero's

thats why im not moving from Nero 7 Essentials, burns everything fine for me
