Has anybody had the same problem as I have had?
I had been using Nero 8.3.6.0 sucessfully for some time and saw that there was now a version 9.09 so used their own cleaner to remove Nero 8 and installed Nero 9. Ok, it istalled ad openend but when trying to play a DVD my computer just simply froze. Re-booted and used the cleaner program and re-installed 8.3.6.0 but it simply did not run as it had previously done. The problem. I believe, stems from the fact the their cleaner does not remove a multitude of registry items. My registry cleaner found over 200 Nero references.
There is also another dificulty. I found that PCtools' Spyware Doctor (highly regarded) partially blocked opening from Nero StartSmart icon would take 15 minutes to open and only 15 secinds when intelliguard was disabled.
