Default Need Large Text File edit software

I need some software that can open, stable, and can be edit some very large text files, my office took too long to load the files and when I try to edit them the become unstable and then crash, doest anyone have and good software atleast can cut the text file into small piece so I can open them one by one ?

The text file is around 160MB and i try to change it to PDF or html, but it still taking too slong to load and read

is it formated text or just information?

try using Ultraedit
http://www.ultraedit.com
can work with files of 4 GB...

yes, the ultraedit may be the only choice for 160M text file, but why you need open such a huge file? Do you really want look for some information in it? My God!!^_^

That's huge.

I think it will always be slow with these sizes. You need a faster comp I think.

What are your system specs?

Seriously, dude. 160megs worth of characters is going to slow anything down.
