Need this kind of software! Help?

Hi all,

Anyone know where I can download a software that:

1) can rename the extension names of all the files in a folder.
2) rename the files in a pattern, such as file01.txt, file02.txt, file03.txt, etc.

I've definitely seen this before on someone's computer, but I had no idea what it was or where to get it.

Any help is appreciated,

So you have a folder full of files named file01.ext file2.ext and you want a program to rename them to file01.txt file02.txt etc? Or the files are randomly named? and you want them to be renamed in that way?

NOTE:- .ext is the extension of the file like.doc or everything!
