Ok, I know of someone that doesn't want there children to be able to use the computer what so ever after a certain time, but she needs to use it after there time is set. Now I have heard of some services when being used on a network that can force certain users to log off. Is there a way I can force a user to log off at a given time then allow them on at another time??? Or will I end up having to direct her to some sort of software?

If it is XP it will have to be software based. Only VIsta has the Parental controls which allow the Admin to prevent users from using the PC at any given time. But there is software like this that is available.

If it's XP Pro I think there is a GPO that you can use to log them off after their "logon hours" expire.
Edit: couldn't find it. You could also create a batch file that will shut down the computer and set it in scheduled tasks to run at a certain time.
