Question need help with sound card

hello, got a dell computer with no sound, reformatted hard drive and did not have and could not find sound card driver. dell didn't have it, yamaha didn't have it, and i couldn't find it on the internet.

so i bought a a new sound card, installed the card and the drivers, still no sound, device manger says that there are no conficts, but i still don't have sound?

please help

Make sure that the speakers are plugged in the proper port and that the power is on.

That may sound basic, but is one of the more common problems.

Did windows detect the sound card when you started your computer up?

checked the speakers and they are plugged in, yes the computer reconized the sound cards, i installes the drivers for the new one but i canceld the plug and ply process for the old.

MAke sure that in the Sounds n' audio properties u hav the right sound card selected ... Else it would be tryin' to play with the wrong one .



Also mention the model no. of ur dell ... Some one could help u find the rite drivers

i tried that, i hear sound but it is very very low, and the volume is all the way up on my speakers

Ensure that u've connect the speakers to the spkr out n' not the line out .

Also make sure that even the wave volume is high.

Incase of using the line out option.. u'll need amplified spkrs
