Default Need help with my 98 SE

My computer has windows 98 SE and it is a mess!! I was told that I could completely erase my hard drive then reinstall my windows. Is it possible to totally erase the drive? I have 2 GB's of drive space left. will this give me more space? Also my computer has been redone before and I have drive M and N for my cd and dvd. Is it possible to redo this computer and how??
I need all the help I can get!! Thanks

Yes it is called reformatting and yes it will clear EVERYTHING. Right down to gfx drivers, and windows. Make backups of anything you wana keep then reformat.
