ok Im back..in safe mode for some reason It wouldnt let my modem connect so Im back in reg. mode

anyway when In safe mode, the only accounts were "computer administrator w/ admin. priv" "wu w/ admin priv" and "guest"

so still NO "rich" what the **** is going on w/ my comp.??

should I just reload my OEM XP disk or what...its not really a big deal but now its just pi**ing me off a little

any other suggestions??

how did you install xp? from the desktop or did you boot from the cd?

I just turned my comp. on and loaded it like that///there was no operation disk

then once I installed XP it told me to make a "back up disk"

so all i have is the back up disk, when I put the disk into my dvd /cd it says "install XP"

so is that my only choice?

no...no operation disk

I turned on my comp. for the 1st time and it took me step by step and installed XP

then onced installed it told me to creat a "back up" disk which I have now

ok, so that means you have an install partition with the xp files on it preinstalled from the manufacturer...so who is the manufacturer?

figures, so can you get your hands on a xp cd so we can do a proper clean install?
