Need Help!

hi, my computer wont let me restart, its says that the hal.dll is missing, and when i pop in my windows xp cd in, and tried to reinstall windows, it says that the vga.sys is corrupt and it wont let me install windows, and i dont know what to do. please help thanks

Could be a bad CD at best.

Or it could be a problem with the access rights to your hard drive from your motherboard.

Have you got a second hard drive you can try to load?

Just a few questions to help sort things out.

*Which version of Windows are you running?

*Was anything new installed? (Hardware or Software)

*Can you access "Safe Mode"?
