okay my brother posted this for me. I couldn't get on the internet with any other browser and everytime i try connecting it doesn't work but it recognizes that there is internet and everytime i cap card with cyberlink powerdirector 8(ive had this program for 8mo) i goto blue screen after 15sec and i didn't get a cd with my computer

Give us the specific stop code error when you get the blue screen.
As for the internet - have you disabled all add-ons in IE and restored it to the default settings?
Have you tried safe mode?
If all else fails and you don't want to find the root of the issue and just want to restore the PC back to its out of the box setting (remember all files and programs will be lost) press F11 at boot. This will get you into the recovery console IF YOU BOUGHT THIS FROM THE MANUFACTURER. Now if you've installed Vista yourself you'll just have to reformat the machine.
