Here's the deal, i have A TON of music, ranging extremely far. I have a ton of different artists, and i want to copy all their names down, but i want to do this without typing/writing by hand.

Is there a program that copies all the artist's names and saves them as an HTML document (or other form)?

If there isn't, would it be hard to make one (using, let's say, C++)?

iTunes does it, select the first track, shift, click on the last one, and go to notepad and paste there (don't use word, as it takes for ever for it to copy the actual music there)

btw. software forum next time.

It depends, I copied some music from my friends Zen, and that is in MP3 format, but the music I copied over from my CD's is in the AAC format, along with the music i bought on iTunes.

It will give you the names of the songs though.

i got it load everything into windows media player 10 then go to all music and drag the down then select group by artist and u can copy and paste all ur artists in one swoop im me if u want some pictures

If you have Winamp you can do the following, I had to close my browser first, you may not have too.

>> Place ALL your mp3 files into the playlist.
>> From playlist > Misc > Sort list by file name.
>> Misc > Misc again > Generate HTML playlist.
>> Highlight and copy from HTML playlist into notepad.

See photo.

Winamp file list.
