We just got xp pro on our schools computers and i think they are something like 266mhz and about 64 megs of ram. Even typing has a bit of a delay sometimes.

the computers at your school could afford to get Windows XP Pro for their PC's but could not afford to upgrade to at least 128MB RAM? isn't the requirements for Windows XP Pro 256MB?

My parents PII450 ran XP with 128 megs of ram. It sucked, so I upgraded to 256 for them. It's better, but still sucks (most likely cause of the processor.

128MB is recommend by MS. May run on less...but with many issues.

haha, to tell you the truth ive got one of mine (an old one obviously) running XP with 64 megs of ram and it actually doesnt have many problems. I just got it though so i havent really had the chance to upgrade... and theres the whole money factor, I've been paintballing alot lately

the min for XP is 64 and it will run w/ few probs
I think the min processor is 133Mhz but that would be moronic
