Default My Computer folder acting strangely

The My Computer icon on the desktop has suddenly changed it's name to "W"

Renamed it back.

But when I open the My Computer folder and click on CDrive - CD Drive - CDRW Drive - Scanner or removable storage icons in the folde it sends me to the Start - Search box!

What can I do to get back to normal please?

Question 1: What have you done recently?

Question 2: Have you run your AV and AS software recently?

MaryB,

Did you try the links that "TheMajor" posted??.

Your default double click option for your drives seems to have changed from 'open' to 'search'.!
