Default Music missing

I have windows XP.
The Files for my music.. sometimes just disappear. any ideas why?

(no they are not downloaded songs)

The music that i ripped/saved to "my music." The folder inside "my documents," it was saved there and now it is missing. WMP can't find it, I cannot find it, and winamp can't find it either.

Try viewing hidden/sys files, and also, how often do they dissapear/reapear?

One every week or so. It's random it was 3 today... I did check hidden.

it sound like you got a virus. upgrade your A/V reboot to safe mode and turn system restore off. run your A/V.

I have scanned with trend, panda, avg, norton, and i have z/a. so i dont' think it is a virus.

try checkdisc. you might have some bad sectors on your hard drive
